Carsten Franke

I grew up in a western suburb of the Hanseatic city of Hamburg in northern Germany. My father was the head of contacts at a large international advertising agency. He was known for his innovative ideas and slogans, which he explained to us at the dinner table.

After high school, I spent two years in the German army, where I took charge of the IT networking of a naval school. My father insisted on a practical eduction before I started studying. That’s why I earned my business administration degree (IHK) at a large German home loan bank. 

Studying at the University of Hamburg didn’t appeal to me. So I decided to do my Master’s in Business Administration in San Diego, California in four years.

Back in Germany, it was the pioneering era of the Internet. Thanks to my practical experience in San Diego, I was able to create the first websites for well-known companies.

Among other things, I was responsible for the first German online lottery, the first online pharmacy and the flat rate for an Internet provider. By displaying the collective order form directly online, my customer was able to multiply his online sales in a very short time.

After the end of my marriage, I moved to Berlin and supported start-up companies with my agency. In return for a share of the business, I took over the marketing measures for the founders, developed innovative business ideas and created seminars for corresponding business concepts.

One of these companies digitized 35mm films. In order to be able to market the film rights in a better way, I founded a company in Malta. After a few years, I moved to Malta and started a new full-service agency with focus on innovative product development and public relations.

After Covid and the challenges associated with it, it was time to look for a new island. And so I moved to Guadeloupe, where I now want to pass on my know-how and my ideas to a new clientele.
